Moto2 Encounter: Vinales's New Roadmap

2 min read · 5 views

MotoGP season's 16th round will take place in Japan, while KTM-Tech3-Athlet Maverick Vinales will not participate in this race. Vinales has returned to his home country after the shoulder injury he suffered during the summer season in Catalunya. Among performance expectations and goals for the next season, the assessments regarding Vinales's partnership with KTM for 2027 are attracting attention.

Vinales's Past Season Experiences

Maverick Vinales commented on his MotoGP experiences: "> Honestly, I had a fantastic time at home. Being with family and training a lot instead of traveling a lot was great. However, I missed my MotoGP bike. I also consciously did not train much on the motorcycle. I wanted to concentrate on my shoulder and not move incorrectly in case of a fall."

Assessments for the New Season

Vinales expressed his expectations for 2027: "> I think it will be good in Motegi. It won't be perfect yet, but good enough to ride. Presumably, I will have more problems with my forearms and neck. The fact that the track has new asphalt will not make it easier – the grip will likely be higher."

Future Perspectives

Vinales evaluated his current situation for 2027 in his speech, saying: "> It is that there is no place left for me now. But that does not mean it is over. I still see myself as a MotoGP rider and I will work to ride here. Currently there is nothing more to say, but the story is not over for me and I will be physically in a position to ride MotoGP in the future – especially with the 850cc bikes, which make it easier."

The Importance of Performance

Vinales emphasized that the most important thing is the current condition: "> But the most important thing is to be in the best condition!"

These assessments highlight the importance of being in the best physical condition for new opportunities, potentially at age 31 for Vinales. Vinales stated that the most important thing is to be in top condition, given his 22nd place in the World Championship standings.
