Toprak Razgatlıoğlu Questioned Performance in Motorsports

3 min read · 9 views

Superbike World Champion Toprak Razgatlıoğlu expressed his views on the difficulties he faced in races and his performance. The racer, aged 29, assessed his current situation, sharing his thoughts on some technical issues with the Yamaha M1 and his driving style.

Difficulties and Perspective in Performance

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu spoke about the difficulties he encountered in races as the Superbike World Champion. He stated that these difficulties could change over time and that everything is a matter of perspective. Razgatlıoğlu, as a racer from Alanya, expressed that it is difficult to achieve victory with the Yamaha M1 at this moment, but he does not give up on self-criticism.

"In the race I am better, but I do not consider it my reality," declared the three-time Superbike World Champion. "If I felt better on the motorcycle and could delay it in the right areas, then I would get much better lap times. And then my races would look much better. I improve, but only minimally, because the front wheel constantly blocks or jumps. But this is my package, so I have to ride it. My best is not enough. If I could ride more with my style and be more relaxed, I would be much stronger. I could overtake Fabio Di Giannantonio, but I believe he had problems. I also did not pass Alex Rins, but that would not have changed anything. I would not have gained a point either, because I lose everywhere."

Razgatlıoğlu shared his thoughts on his driving style. He stated that he could get better laps and his races would look better when he felt more relaxed and stronger. However, he emphasized that his development is limited due to the constant obstruction or jumping of the front wheel. He said that this is part of his racing package and that he must race this way.

New Generation and Future Perspective

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, who expressed his views on the performance of the new Superbike Champion Nicolo Bulega in MotoGP, approached the young racer's potential positively. He stated that Bulega's motorcycles and tires are sufficiently tested and that they are more prepared than others. Furthermore, he supported Bulega, stating that Bulega is younger than him and that his driving style is more suitable for MotoGP. Razgatlıoğlu predicted that Bulega would be strong in MotoGP.

Standings

When examining Toprak Razgatlıoğlu's race standings, it was seen that he scored 18 points out of 32 races in 44 races and holds the Superbike World Champion title. Among the 22 races, the racer Maverick Vinales (Tech3 KTM), who suffered from injury for a long time, scored fewer points.
