The Challenges of the New Setup
Razgatlıoğlu stated that the transition to MotoGP was a very different change from the Superbike World Championship. He had to adjust to the Yamaha and Michelin tires in the new races. He noted that while he was accustomed to an environment where he had won victories and consistently ranked on the podium in the Superbike World Championship, the new situation itself posed a major challenge.
The rider's efforts to adapt to these new conditions drew attention. Despite the initial disappointment, he changed his approach over time. Razgatlıoğlu expressed that he tried to focus on the positive aspects by overcoming the difficult race days. He emphasized that his team helped him remain strong throughout this process.
"I am very grateful to my team because everyone helps me stay strong. This is very good," he said.
The Learning Process and Technical Difficulties
Razgatlıoğlu stressed that there were many learning opportunities in his new career. The Michelin tires presented difficulties in some areas. The rider stated that he learned a lot in some aspects and constantly worked to learn about the tires. However, he acknowledged that some difficulties persisted.
While facing technical issues related to the front tire, he developed a new approach to adjusting his gear. The rider emphasized the importance of speed in corners. He stated that speed in corners is not his style, but that he needed to learn this this year.
"Speed in corners is not my style. If I learn this this year, maybe I will need it next year," he said.
The rider also mentioned difficulties with braking. He noted that on some circuits, there was no grip during braking, and the front wheel locked up. However, he said he understood the braking limits and worked to overcome these challenges. Razgatlıoğlu viewed this difficult rookie season as preparation for the future.
"I always try to look at the positive side. Sometimes it is not easy, but I try to stay like this," he said.
