MotoGP season, rider Pedro Acosta, KTM's favorite, achieved top results in races. Especially in the Aragon race, the young Spanish rider was the fastest on the KTM RC16 and finished in 4th place in the Sprint race. In the Grand Prix race, he placed second after Marc Marquez (Ducati). Acosta stated that winning the podium in the Grand Prix in his home country was a significant achievement for KTM.
The Importance of Team Leadership
KTM racing chief Pit Beirer emphasized that races are not a straight path during his statement after the successful race weekend in Spain. Beirer stated that sticking to the process and trusting people are important in such contests.
"We needed this week!" said the German chief. "For Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Pedro Acosta's second place in Aragon felt like a reward after the long effort in the home Grand Prix. Races are never a straight path. Ups, downs, regressions, and advancements occur. What is important is sticking to the process and trusting people."
Team Spirit Highlighted
Pit Beirer praised Pedro Acosta's fighting spirit. He cited Enea Bastianini's strong performance in the Grand Prix as an example of team spirit reflecting these achievements. Beirer stressed that these types of successes belong to the entire team.
"Seeing the orange colors again on the MotoGP platform reminds us why we do what we do. We remember what we do. We are proud of the entire team and we are hungry for more."
It was mentioned that the next event of this year will take place in Misano. It was also noted that the KTM manufacturer will start anew in 2027 with four new team riders and an 850cc motorcycle.
