Marc Marquez Takes Lead in Sprint

Before the sprint race, riders used middle tires on the inside and soft tires on the outside at Motegi. Marco Bezzecchi switched from the middle tire to the rear tire at the end of the sprint. When the fifth light went out, the sprint excitement began, and Marc Marquez took the lead from Jorge Martin after the first corner. During this time, Alex Marquez, Fabio Di Giannantonio, and Pedro Acosta retired due to an accident caused by Marquez. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu gained three places after the start.

Race Results and Standings

Towards the end of the sprint, Bezzecchi, Diego Moreira, and Ai Ogura fell behind; the possibility of a podium finish was debated. Marc Marquez finished in first place at the end of the 12-lap sprint session. Jorge Martin and Enea Bastianini fought for second place until the flag, but Martin managed to finish in second place. Although Martin finished in second place, Martin and Bastianini received penalties after the race because they exceeded the track limits, which caused Diego Moreira to move up to second place. Ai Ogura completed fifth place in the top five, and Marco Bezzecchi finished in first place. Toprak Razgatlıoğlu crossed the checkered flag in 17th place.
