Jorge Martin's Issues Led to a Point Deduction

Speedweek MotoGP race, Marc Marquez took the lead from Jorge Martin in the Sprint portion and achieved approximately 22 Sprint victories. However, Martin lost championship points due to his third-place position caused by tire issues and a qualifying change. In the remainder of the race, all riders continued in the long race covering 24 laps with Michelin's hard rear tire recommendation. Drivers were not accustomed to this experience. Martin maintained the lead at the start of the race and positioned between Marquez and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia). Marquez remained patient on Aprilia's rear tire and took the lead with a successful overtake on lap 11. Martin tried this move but failed. After a slip, Marquez fell a few meters back. When Martin narrowed the gap in the final part of the race, the Ducati star spoke emotionally.

Loss of Championship Advantage

Marc Marquez brought his points within ten points of the world champion. Martin had only 333 points, while Marquez dropped to 331 points. Marquez emphasized the importance of scoring maximum points. Marquez stated that he could regain the world championship lead in the Mandalika race next week. However, it was assessed that Aprilia had the advantage on the track.
