Two-Person Stoppie Display by Jack Miller at Motegi

3 min read · 5 views

Jack Miller and Alex Rins will be remembered more for the entertaining incidents than the track results at the MotoGP Japan practice. Miller stopped to take Rins, who was on the track, to the garage. Miller, who had a Yamaha, attempted to lay down his bike instead of taking a regular "taxi ride," and then performed a stunt with two people to the Motegi stands, putting on an unforgettable show.

Miller's "Taxi Service" Turned into a Show

It is stated that Miller's action turned into a show in a short time. Miller took Rins onto the back of his motorcycle, but the duo did not return to the pit lane calmly.

You devil!

Rins recounted the events in a humorous tone, stating that the part he was most afraid of was not the stoppy.

I had fun, you devil! The stoppy wasn't bad. But I was really scared when he tried to lay down our leg on the ground.

The situation looked even more bizarre because there was no step where Rins could hold his rear feet.

Miller's Anxiety and Caution

Miller mentioned experiencing some apprehension during the stop. He initially thought Rins could put his leg down on the ground, but he realized an important detail afterward.

I thought it would make a great photo if he could put his leg down. Then I looked at the footage and realized; there were no steps for his feet to put on!

He admitted he was not completely comfortable with the stoppy. Miller stated that he was a bit anxious while doing the stoppy, that the front tire was cold, and that he had to climb onto the grass to get it, saying he was cautious when he first touched the brake. Despite this, he joked that the rear wheel lifted easier than expected and that if there was another opportunity, the action could have gone further.

If I did it again, I would go a bit faster and do it better. But it looked good and made people laugh. We are here a little bit for that.

Miller and Rins did not find what they were looking for in the day's results table. Therefore, they signed off one of the most talked-about moments of the day at Motegi.
