MotoGP At the Aragon Grand Prix, Francesco Bagnaia, rider for the Ducati Lenovo Team, could not complete the race due to an accident he experienced in the first part of the race. The rider explained that after losing the rear wheel in a corner, the front wheel also locked up. Bagnaia stated that this crash was different from the incident at Silverstone and that changing gears too early caused the front wheel to lock up.

Grip Issues and Performance Difficulties

Ducati rider Bagnaia expressed serious difficulties with the motorcycle's traction (grip), especially in terms of road grip. Bagnaia noted that he had to switch to a low power map during the seventh lap of the race and mentioned experiencing excessive spinning during early laps in the last two races. He emphasized that there was insufficient grip under the current conditions.

Bagnaia stated that the repetition of early crashes in the last two races suggests that they need to demonstrate better performance.

I'm fine. Unfortunately, I lost the rear wheel in the corner, and then the front locked up. I changed the gear too early today, and when the load came, the front locked. Fortunately, nothing serious happened because I could have been injured if I had let go.

Lack of Solution and Career Assessment

Bagnaia stated that he did everything possible to resolve the issues with the Ducati, but they still haven't achieved the desired result. The Italian rider said he struggles to understand the limits of the motorcycle and that he cannot achieve the expected performance despite taking high risks.

I do everything I can in every situation. Every time I return to the garage, I try to speak openly with the team to solve the problem. Unfortunately, the solution hasn't arrived yet. You struggle, but for a second slower, you end up on the ground.

Bagnaia evaluated his experience in very harsh terms. He believes this is one of the worst periods of his career and that he sees no way out. He stressed that it is difficult for him to accept the current situation, despite his contributions to Ducati throughout his career.

I gave everything I could to Ducati. Despite the dedication I show and all the data I analyze every day, it is difficult to accept that the situation is like this. I cannot ride the motorcycle naturally today and then I crash.

Confidence with Panigale

Despite the problems with the Ducati motorcycle, Bagnaia said he felt much more comfortable during rides on the Panigale. He stated that this gives him great confidence and that he knows he can still be competitive.

I fly on the Panigale and I am incredibly fast. This reassures me because I know that I can still ride the motorcycle and still be competitive.

The Ducati rider is placing great importance on the upcoming Misano Grand Prix to demonstrate a strong performance in the next part of the season. Bagnaia aims to find a solution to the problems he experienced with the motorcycle during his home race and to participate in the top five again. He stated that finding a solution to the low grip problem is one of the most important goals before Misano.
