Marco Bezzecchi, who took pole position in the San Marino Grand Prix, completed the qualifying laps with a time of 1:29.982, becoming the first rider to finish under 1:30 in Misano. Bezzecchi’s time surpassed the track record of 1:30.031 set by Francesco Bagnaia in 2024. The Italian rider secured the third pole position of the season, moving into the lead of the grid for the second time after Aragon.
Qualifying and Critical Moments
The qualifying session was a fiercely contested race. The podium standings were varied. Fermin Aldeguer secured third place with a gap of 0.368 seconds over the Ducati Gresini Ducati. Third place was held by Fabio Di Giannantonio, who was 0.404 seconds behind. Francesco Bagnaia, the VR46 Ducati rider, was second in the field, but fell behind the leader in the latter part of the session. Jorge Martin, Luca Marini, and Pedro Acosta completed the rest of the field. Raul Fernandez took sixth place.
In the grid battles, Toprak Razgatlıoğlu finished last in Q1 with a time of 1:32.264, leaving a gap of 1.729 seconds behind the leader. Among those who moved from Q1 to Q2, Raul Fernandez finished the first session in the lead with 1:30.535. Fermin Aldeguer secured second place in the final seconds. Our representative, Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, could not find the required pace and finished last in Q1.
Race Incidents
During the San Marino GP race, riders battled on the track. Marco Bezzecchi, who started in pole position, maintained the lead by capitalizing on his advantage through the first corner. However, in the final sector of the first lap, Bezzecchi lost control of his motorcycle, causing a hard crash at high speed and sliding into the gravel trap. Marc Marquez, who took the lead after the accident, opened the gap to Jorge Martin in second place.
During the race, Jack Miller crashed on lap 2. His teammate Toprak Razgatlıoğlu moved up to 18th place by overtaking Alex Rinz. Shortly after, Diego Moreira also crashed, allowing Toprak to gain another position and move up to 17th.
On lap 4, Pedro Acosta took third place by making a daring maneuver against Alex Marquez. However, Alex Marquez prevented Acosta from gaining a gap, executing the same maneuver within the corner and regaining his position. On lap 6, Francesco Bagnaia crashed into the gravel trap, and yellow flags were shown for a short period.
In the final part of the race, Marc Marquez reached the top with a lap time of 1:31.040. Jorge Martin finished second, just 0.007 seconds behind, while Marco Bezzecchi took third place. Alex Marquez reached eighth place with a lap time of 1:30.696. Additionally, Johann Zarco crashed and retired from the race, allowing Toprak to gain another position and move up to 12th. The San Marino GP ended when the checkered flag waved, and Marc Marquez won the championship trophy. Alex Marquez finished second, while Pedro Acosta completed the podium.
