"The first laps were very enjoyable; competing with Marc and overtaking him was wonderful," stated Martin. "I experienced arm-pump in 2019 and I had to undergo surgery at that time. Since then, I have never had any problems. However, I know that other riders might experience issues returning years later and might have to undergo surgery again. Perhaps that is my situation too. I must seek advice from doctors before making a decision and wait for how much recovery I need. Now the races are back-to-back, and I do not want to lose my chance for a championship podium; I feel ready."
