During the period between the end of the 2024 season and the beginning of 2026, Jorge Martin had missed a large part of the races due to multiple injuries. During this time, he worked with Aprilia to regain his fitness. The 28-year-old driver frequently spoke about the mental pressure he experienced during these challenging periods. When asked how quickly he had returned to his best level, and whether it felt as proud as a world championship, Martin replied, “Yes, absolutely. I am truly very happy to be back at my best level. I believe I am now a better driver than in 2024.”

He expressed his desire to continue defending the colors with Aprilia and that he was happy with the current conditions.
